Mr. Sisira Liyanage

Mr. Sisira Liyanage began his educational journey as a student at Narammala Mayura Pada School. He later entered Guru Vidyala (Teachers’ Training College) as a trainee teacher in Science and Mathematics, obtained his teaching qualification, and joined the government education sector at a young age.

With over 35 years of experience in teaching and the education sector, he has made significant contributions to Mathematics education, including achieving a 100% pass rate in Mathematics at his first rural school appointment. He has contributed to the development of students, teachers, principals, and schools, with a strong focus on academic excellence, student leadership, agriculture, and holistic development.

He later gained experience in well-reputed international schools and has also served as a Pradeshiya Sabha Member, remaining actively involved in public, social, and educational development in Sri Lanka. He is currently pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed.), further strengthening his professional expertise and commitment to education.
