Dr. Lakshaman Silva is an educator, psychologist, and institutional leader with a career spanning academic leadership, psychotherapeutic innovation, and cross-cultural education. He currently serves as Chief Academic Officer at Regency School Network, where he guides academic strategy and quality across the institution.

He holds a PhD in TESL from YSU (USA), a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of Peradeniya. Building on this foundation, Dr. Silva has developed the BIRS model (Breathing, Imagination, Role-Play, Self-Talk) — an original framework now applied in both teaching practice and academic research — along with its extension, the BIRS-T model.

Dr. Silva teaches Positive Psychology and Cognitive Psychology at the undergraduate level and supervises postgraduate dissertations in Business Psychology, bringing rigorous, research-informed mentorship to his students. He holds academic appointments at APIIT, SITC, WES Campus, LCL Campus and City University Malaysia, reflecting a broad and sustained contribution to higher education across multiple institutions.

Beyond his academic roles, Dr. Silva is the Founder and CEO of Keenbridge English Academy (Pvt) Ltd and Co-Founder of the Institutions of Psychotherapeutic Arts (IOPA), where he channels his expertise in psychology and language into practical, community-facing programs.

Based in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Dr. Silva combines deep academic credentials with a genuine commitment to developing educators, students, and institutions alike.
