Mr. Hasitha Ekanayake  is a distinguished educator, administrative leader, and researcher with extensive experience across Sri Lanka’s public, private, and state policy sectors. An alumnus of Dharmaraja College, Kandy, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Mathematics and Computer Science from the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and is currently pursuing his M.Sc. in Applied Statistics at the University of Peradeniya.

With a strong legacy in mathematics education, he has served for 10 years as a Government School Combined Mathematics teacher and brings over 15 years of experience as a private Combined Mathematics educator. Beyond the classroom, his research interests focus on advanced statistical applications and educational metrics.

On the administrative and public service front, Mr. Ekanayake served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) from 2020 to 2023 and led as Chairman of the All Ceylon Youth League from 2017 to 2022. Additionally, his media background includes work as a presenter for the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.

Leveraging his combined expertise in data analytics, governance, and pedagogy, he actively guides strategic vision and educational standards as a Director of Regency Edulanka (Pvt) Ltd.
